Blanket Recovery
Nov. 26th, 2011 04:02 amWe're at Chambanacon and having a good time with only a couple of minor glitches.
We went down to the pool this evening to let Katie and Julie splash around for a while. I headed back to the room first to change and get ready to filk, but when Julie discovered that Daddy had left, she decided that it was time to go too, so everyone got back to the room a few minutes after I did.
And then Julie realized she didn't have Buni. I remembered that she'd taken her blanket to the pool with her, so I finished getting dressed, went downstairs, and recovered him from the table where she'd left him. Then it was off to the filk.
I hadn't quite gotten there from the con suite when my phone rang. It was Gretchen, calling to let me know that Katie was quite distressed since both her new unicorn pillow (replaceable) and Badi, her irreplaceable blanket, were both missing. I knew they'd come in from the car, so I set out retracing our steps. They weren't in the con suite or the now-closed dealers room.
But they were at the front desk where someone had found them and turned them in. I thanked the lady at the desk and took the unicorn and Badi to Katie who was quite happy to see them.
The girls need to keep better track of these things.
