This was not true if you were sitting under the overhang at Wrigley Field with the wind blowing in your face. The young woman from Miami sitting in front of us noted that she could see her breath condensing in the chilly lake-breeze air.
And the Cubs blew a 4-1 lead, then came back to take a 7-6 lead, then blew that with two outs and two strikes in the top of the ninth, eventually losing 10-7 in the tenth.
On the other hand, Marmol pitched a scoreless eighth inning (and was briefly in line for the win), so I'm sure he'll be reinstated as closer shortly...
