I was out to lunch today when I got a call from Gretchen. She had missed a call coming in from the folks who manage my dad's trust. They had gotten a call from my dad's widow's son letting him know that she had died.

Connie was a wonderful, sweet woman who took very good care of my dad when he was dying. I will always appreciate that.

And now it is time to clean up the last of my dad's affairs.

Under normal circumstances, I would be at Marcon this weekend. Of course, these circumstances are nothing like normal.

On the bright side, it *does* mean that I will be home for Mother's Day on Sunday. If nothing else, it should improve the quality of the breakfast that the kids will be making for Mom given the additional adult supervision. :)
